Why Make Jewelry?

As a teenager, I was overweight, had terrible acne and social anxiety.  I wore a lot of black (because black is slimming, right?) and I avoided eye contact. Jewelry was one of the few things that helped me to feel beautiful.

I started designing pieces for myself. It was my silent statement. “Here, this is me.” It made such a difference in my life.

And I realized that I wanted other people to feel that kind of difference in their lives. So, despite my intense fear of face-to-face interaction, I set up at my first craft show. It was terrifying and exhilarating! But I found a connection that day. So many women go through their lives silent or hiding who they are.

We all need to express ourselves. And learn not to be afraid of who we are. Because we can not find joy or peace if we aren’t at peace with ourselves.

And that’s why I love what I do. Every day I help women to express themselves and find their voice!  You should never be afraid of the passion inside of you. So, go ahead you wild beauties, and shine that unique light on the world!
